If you just graduated and are looking for a job, then you should know that there are many persons in your position, and you should do some research to be able to get the job you want. Nowadays there are more job seekers than open positions, and you have to be sure that you do all your best to get the one you want. You have to know that there are some agencies that focus on graduates recruitment. However, before going to an interview with one of the recruiters from the agency you should prepare to answer to some questions, because if you want from him to represent you to one of his clients you should articulate him exactly what you are looking for at a job.
Define what you want
You should be able to tell the recruitment agent what type of job you are looking, seasonal, temporary, or permanent. Recruitment agencies handle many different types of work arrangements, so if you are able to tell them what type of job you are looking for they will find you one easier. You should also tell him why you want this job, for paying you bills, for developing a career in this domain, or other reasons.
They ask you two types of questions
You have to be prepared to answer questions about your talents and about your expertise. He might also ask you how you can use your talents to improve your expertise. The questions that have in view your expertise will be situational and behavioural ones. He asks you these types of questions because he wants to assess your functional and technical expertise. In addition, you should know that he might ask you the names of the recruitment agencies where you are registered and if you applied for jobs. You can construct a list with these names, because in this way you help him avoid potential conflicts of interest. If you take the initiative, to construct this list you will impress him and he will see that you are forward thinking and well prepared.
Present him the best part of you
You should leave arrogance outside, because the persons that carry their ego with them do not impress recruiters. Also, if you do not know a certain scope of a company you should not pretend that you know it and you should ask him. You should look sharp for an interview; because this will be the first impression, the recruiter has about you. In addition, agents have to know that you are able to dress to impress, you do not have to wear a suit, but you have to look like you are ready for business. A big plus for you would be if you know some details about the company, you intend to apply. If you tell him that you want to apply for a job at a company, but you do not know enough about that company the agent will not be impressed and there is little chance for you to get a job.
